Security instructions
Missing or non-readable security stickers have to be replaced immediately!
To avoid malfunction, machine defects and injuries, read the following security instructions!
The locally applicable laws and regulations may specify the minimum age of the operator and
limit the use of this machine!
Keep working area and the ground clean and free of oil and other materials!
Assure that the working area is sufficiently lighted!
Don’t use the machine outside!
The use of the machine is forbidden if you are tired, not concentrated as well if
you are under the influence of medicaments, alcohol and other drugs.
The BT 46ECO shall be used only by trained personnel.
Non authorized personnel, especially children, shall be kept away from the machine!
When working with the machine, don’t wear loose clothing, long hair openly or
loose jewellery like necklaces etc.
Loose objects might be catched by rotating parts and cause serious injuries.
Use proper safety clothing and devices when operating the machine (safety
glasses, ear protectors, respiratory protection…)!
Place the disc sander onto a even and solid underground.
If you use it as a stationary, we recommend to remove the rubber feet and to
fix the machine to the underground, e.g. a workbench.
Wood-dust of chemically treated or coated wood may be toxic and harm your
respiratory system! Use an appropriate breathing mask and take care to work
only in well ventilated areas.
Beware of workpiece kickback! Always assure yourself to sand the workpiece
so that the sanding paper sands from above the workpiece downwards.
Do not store any easily flammable materials near the machine.
Always check prior to every use the fixing screws and levers to be fastened
tightly.
Never leave the machine unattended while running. Before leaving the
working area, switch the machine off and wait till it stops.
Disconnect the machine from the power supply before performing
maintenance or other activities.
Never use the power cord to transport the machine or pull it around.
The machine is quasi maintenance-free.
Repairs may only to be carried out by professionals!
Accessories: Use only accessories recommended by HOLZMANN!
Remaining risk factors
W A R N I N G
It is important to ensure that each machine has remaining risks.
In the execution of all work (even the simplest) greatest attention
is required. A safe working depends on you!
Even if the machine is used as required it is still impossible to eliminate certain residual risk factors
totally. The following hazards may arise in connection with the machine´s construction and design:
Despite of correct and proper use and maintenance there remain some residual risk factors:
Hazard of injury or machine damage due to undetected machine defect
To minimize this risk, check the machine prior to every operation for loose screws and
connections. Check the motor noise, the spindle, the drill chuck, etc. for eventual dam-age.
Damaged parts have to be replaced immediately, no operation of the machine in the
meantime!
