Detection results depend on the size and material of the object to be detected, as well as the material and condition of the surface and
other factors. If the cable is not live, the detection depth will be lower.
WARNING!
• o not allow moisture to enter the unit, do not expose it to direct sunlight.
• If the device is exposed to a very low temperature, wait until the device temperature rises before using it.
• When using or operating a transmitting device such as a microwave oven near the detector, this will affect the detection results.
• In general, the detection results will be influenced by certain environmental factors. Devices that generate a strong magnetic or
electromagnetic field in the vicinity interfere with the detector. In addition, moisture, metal building materials, aluminium cladding
made of insulating materials impact the measurement. The conductivity of the wallpaper, rug or tile will affect the detection
result. Before drilling the ceiling and floor, sawing, pay attention to external factors (such as building structure).
For the best scanning result:
- Avoid wearing rings or watches when using the detector. Metal can cause inaccurate testing.
- Move the tool evenly across the surface without lifting it or changing the pressure applied.
- The tool must always touch the surface during the scan.
- Make sure that the fingers of the hand holding the tool do not touch the scanned surface.
- Do not touch the detector surface or scan with your other hand or any other part of your body.
- Always test slowly for maximum accuracy and sensitivity.
DEVICE USAGE
Installing batteries
Use only 9V batteries.
Install the batteries by removing the battery cover 9 in the diagram.
If you do not use the device for a long time, remove the battery. After long-term use, the battery will be discharged
Switching the device on/off
Make sure that the sensor is not damp before use. If necessary, wipe it dry with a cloth.
Press the ON/OFF button 5 in the diagram to start the unit:
After a short period of automatic testing the probe is ready for operation. The device automatically switches to metal detection mode.
At this point, if there is a signal in Area 9 on the display screen despite the absence of metal objects near the sensor, this means
that calibration is required.
The calibration method:
Place the device in an environment away from metal and strong magnetic field disturbances (e.g. by lifting the device up into the air),
then press and hold Metal Detection button 7 until in area 9 the signal on the display screen shows zero and the green indicator light
comes on. Then the calibration is complete. Release the button at this point and you can proceed to metal detection.
DETECTION FUNCTIONS
The device is used to detect objects under the sensor in the detection area.
Detection of metal objects (metal rods, wires, copper pipes).
The maximum metal detection depth is 100 mm.
To detect metal objects, press the Metal Detection button 7 to move to the metal detection state. At this point, the metal detection
