Note! It is recommended to load all of the 5 trays even if some of them are
empty.
7.4 Additional instructions
Rinse your products before placing them in the dryer. However, wet items must
be dry before inserting them in the dryer.
Caution! Do not place wet trays or products in the dryer.
Cut off rotten parts of products and cut up the products so the pieces can be
loosely distributed on the trays.
Drying time depends on the size of the pieces.
You can swap the trays between the upper and lower section of the dryer to
balance the speed of the drying process. Some fruits have protective outer
layers, which can delay the drying process. To prevent this, blanch such fruit
pieces in boiling water for 1-2 minutes, then cool them down in cold water and
dry them out.
Note! The drying times specified are approximate values.
Drying time depends on ambient temperature and humidity, product moisture
content and size, etc.
Caution!
BE CAREFUL NOT TO GET BURNED: THE COVER CAN GET VERY HOT
Cycle “1” – Herbs
1. Sort the herbs before drying, throw out long parts, flower stalks, petioles,
woody or damaged stems, etc.
2. Wash the soil off rhizomes and roots under running water.
3. Chop up the herbs.
4. Dry herbs of similar moisture content together. Note that roots and rhizomes
take longer to dry than leaves and flowers.
Cycle “2” – Greens
a) Follow the instructions for herbs (

Cycle “3” – Bread
1. Cut bread into pieces of suitable size and distribute them evenly on the trays.
2. Dry until ready (note that wholemeal bread contains more moisture and
takes longer to dry).
Cycle “4” – Yogurt
1. Cut aluminium foil or dedicated drying pads (not supplied) into approx. 5 x 5
cm squares and distribute them evenly over 50% of the tray surfaces.
