3. Fully unwind the connecting cable and connect it to a plug socket that is easily
accessible. You will hear a beep. All elements on the two displays (
10 + 11
) light
up and go out, apart from the temperature display (

). This shows the measured
ambient temperature. The device is in standby mode.
Filling the Water Tank
PLEASE NOTE!

Only ever fi ll the water tank with cold tap water. Do not use any other liquids.
■
Do not overfi ll the water tank (
MAX
marking)! Electrical components could be
damaged. There is an increased risk of electric shock.
1. Make sure that the device is not connected to the mains power.
2. Pull the water tank (

) out of the device.
3. Insert a frozen freezer pack into the water tank to get an even better cooling effect.
Please note!
Always insert the freezer pack into the smaller, left compartment of the
water tank to prevent any damage to the pump (
Picture D
).
Always keep the second freezer pack in your freezer compartment so that you
can replace the used, thawed freezer pack at any time.
4. Pour cold tap water into the water tank. Make sure that you do not exceed the
MAX
marking.
5. Insert the fi lled water tank into the device.

When a function is active, the symbol for the associated operating element is shown on
the two displays (

Set mode
The device has three different modes (

): Normal
, Breeze
and Night mode
.
Set the mode by repeatedly touching the
WIND
fi eld (Normal – Breeze – Night mode).
In normal mode, the fan runs continuously at the set speed (see “
SPEED
”). In the other
two modes, the device alternately switches on and off automatically to simulate a nat-
ural breeze.

Activate / deactivate rotation
When this function is active, the vertical slats of the ventilation grille (

) automatically
swing from one side to the other. Activate or deactivate the rotation by touching the
SWING
fi eld.
