Aileron to Rudder Mixing
Many models (especially large-scale aircraft) fly through turns more smoothly when aileron and rudder
commands are used simultaneously. The Aileron-Rudder mix will automatically apply rudder input when
aileron commands are given.
To configure an aileron-rudder mix:
1. From the model menu, rotate the jog dial to highlight
“AILE>RUDD” and press the jog dial once to enter the activation
menu.
2. Press the jog dial again to activate the menu.
3. Rotate the jog dial to select “ACT” (activate), then press the jog
dial to confirm your selection and activate the aileron-rudder
mix menu.
4. Scroll to highlight the “RATE” field. Press the jog dial to activate
the menu.
5. Rotate the jog dial to highlight either the “L/U” (left/up), the
“R/D” (right/down) field, or both fields. If you want the rudder
movements to be equal for both directions of aileron input
(most common) highlight both fields and press the jog dial.
6. Rotate the jog dial to increase (clockwise) or decrease
(counter-clockwise) the desired rudder travel when a left or
right roll command is given. Press the jog dial to confirm your
selection.
7. Scroll to highlight the “EXP” field and press the jog dial to
activate the selection.
8. Rotate the jog dial to input the desired exponential travel of
the rudder when reacting to this mix. The setting does not affect
exponential travel when yaw commands are given.
9. Scroll to highlight the “OST” (Offset) field and press the jog dial
to activate the menu.
10. Rotate the jog dial to set the increase/decrease amount of
Offset for the rudder servo. Press the jog dial to confirm your
selection.

you actuate the aileron controls. These values are reflected in the graph as well.
12. Scroll to highlight the “SPEED” field and press the jog dial to
activate the menu.
13. Rotate the jog dial to increase or decrease the transit time
of the rudder servo (in seconds) when operating with the mix.
Press the jog dial to confirm your input.
14. Scroll to highlight the “TRIM” field and press the jog dial to
activate the menu.
15. Rotate the jog dial to select “ON” or “OFF” and press the jog
dial to confirm your selection. When “ON” is selected, the mix

ignores aileron trim changes.
16. Scroll to the “S/W” field and press the jog dial twice to
activate the menu.
17. Scroll to select a switch to activate the mix. Press the jog dial to confirm your selection.
