The HOME menu is displayed when a disc stops
playing or there is no disc in the player.
1. Within the HOME menu, you can use the LEFT
and RIGHT CURSOR keys to navigate and
highlight menu items. Press the ENTER key to
make a selection. Press the RETURN key to
return to the previous menu.
2. Press the HOME key at any time to display the
HOME menu.
Within the HOME menu, highlight Settings and
then press the ENTER key to open the Settings
menu.
SETTINGS
Within the HOME menu highlight QUICK SETUP.
Press the ENTER key to open the QUICK SETUP
menu.
NOTE:
The first time you turn on your player, the Quick
Setup Wizard opens automatically. The wizard will
guide you through the initial settings for your player,
including menu language and video resolution.

1. Display
1.1 TV Aspect Ratio
Select the Aspect Ratio:
16:9 Normal
: For a disc with a 4:3 aspect ratio,
the video will be centered on the display.
16:9 Full:
For a disc with a 4:3 aspect ratio, the
output video is stretched to fill a 16:9 wide screen.
4:3 Pan&Scan:
Use this selection if you have a 4:3
Display. Some of the signal will not be visible on
screen.
4:3 Letterbox:
Select when a standard 4:3 TV is
connected. The complete signal will be displayed,
with black borders on the top and bottom of the 4:3
screen.
1.2 Resolution
Select the video output resolution: Auto, 1080p,
1080i, 720p, 480p and 480i.
Auto: Set to Auto to have the player determine the
optimum setting for Resolution.
NOTES:
HDMI is the preferred connection. If HDMI is
connected then the composite video output is
disabled.
To enable composite video playback
connect the player to an HDMI display and select
Auto or 480i resolution.
See the Owner’s Guide for your television to
determine supported resolutions. Set the player to
output a resolution that is supported by your TV.
Only the HDMI output of the player is capable
of supporting 1080p video output.
The Composite video output only supports 480i.
1.4 HDMI Color Space
Select HDMI Color Space: Auto, YCbCr, YCbCr422,
Full RGB and RGB.
1.5 HDMI Deep Color
Select HDMI Deep Color: Auto, On and Off.
Note: Select Auto for the best performance.
1.6 HDMI 1080p 24Hz
Select HDMI 1080p 24Hz: Auto and Off.
Default is “Off.” Set to “Auto” only
if your TV supports 24Hz frame rate.
1.3. TV System
Select TV system:
NTSC: Select this option when connected with
NTSC-TV.
