Check the following only when an instruction for referring to this chart is given in “Table 4-4-1
Major Error Codes and Troubleshooting” on the previous page.

supply (AC adapter/charger, battery, etc.) from the DVD video camera/recorder before starting work.

Check the disc loaded status.
Is a single-sided
disc used?
Is disc loaded with the
recording surface facing
the optical pickup?
Load the disc with the
recording surface facing
the optical pickup.
Is disc properly
attached to the
turntable?
Push the disc onto the
turntable until a click is
heard.
Is there a foreign
object in the vicinity
of turntable?
Remove the foreign
object.
Is disc usable on the
DVD video camera/
recorder loaded?
Load a usable disc in
the DVD video camera/
recorder.
Is turntable damaged?
Replace the disc drive
unit.
Is optical pickup dirty?
Clean the optical
pickup
