2) Ensure that the Bluetooth headset itself is turned on. It may also be necessary to switch
the headset to pairing mode. You should consult your headset instructions to find out
how to do this.
3) On the BookSense XT, press the MENU button to access the menu.
4) Press the UP or DOWN button to move to the “Global options, pull down” and press the
RIGHT, OK, or MENU button.
5) Press the UP or DOWN button to move to the “Bluetooth options, pull down” and press
the RIGHT, OK, or MENU button.
6) Press the UP or DOWN button to move to the “Connect headset, dialog” and press the
RIGHT, OK, or MENU button.
7) Then “Bluetooth device list, scan for audio device” and press the OK, or MENU button.
BookSense XT will start searching for all compatible Bluetooth devices which are in
range. A beeping sound is heard during the scanning process.
8) After a short delay, a list of all compatible devices that have been detected is displayed
and BookSense XT announces how many devices were found.
9) Assuming that your headset has been detected, press the UP or DOWN button to move
to its entry on the displayed list and press the OK, or MENU button to select it.
BookSense XT will ask you to enter the PIN code for your headset.
10) Press the numeric button to enter the correct PIN code and press the OK button. If this is
entered correctly, BookSense XT is connected to the headset and a musical jingle is
heard. Shortly afterwards you should be able to hear the BookSense XT audio. This will
confirm that your headset has been correctly paired with the BookSense XT.
11) If at any stage, you wish to abort this process, press the CANCEL button until you exit
the menu.
Note: The PIN code which is required in the above process is supplied with your headset
instructions. You will need this code to complete the connection process. Many headsets use
the code “0000” but you should double check this for your own headset.
Note: It is highly recommended that you use a Bluetooth 2.0 headset as headsets
compatible with earlier Bluetooth versions may experience interruptions in the audio stream.
9.6.3 FTP Service
BookSense XT
allows you to use Bluetooth “FTP Service.” You can transmit and receive a
file between PC and BookSense XT
