5.2.15. Digital input
If the instrument is equipped with the option
“digital input”, this option can be used for remote control of one
of the programmable functions as described below.
The option “digital input” needs to be preset at factory. (
see chapter “Data Sheet”
)
Remote control functions via digital input
Remote control is done by means of a floating contact, 'open collector' or voltage.
Standard is status control.
The input is active (ON) at 0 V to 1 V and inactive (OFF) from 4 V to 30 V respectively in open condition.
Programmable functions
Turning on the laser
If the laser is installed and enabled (ENABLED), it can be switched on via digital input.
Example: 0 V or short circuit switch the laser on.
Reset of peak value
The instrument updates continuously a maximum and a minimum value memory. Via digital input those
values may be reset to current value. This function is especially helpful if the analog output is programmed
to be one of those memories.
Example: 0 V resets the maximum value memory to actual value.
Reset of the digital outputs
If configured, the digital outputs can be reset to inactive state via digital input.
Example: 0 V resets the digital output.
