ELP PAR User Guide
9
Introduction
The ELP PAR is a bright single-lens LED PAR Can with calibrated color
output from seven RGBW LEDs and a motorized zoom with an angle that
varies from 5.6° to 57.6° (field angle, one-tenth peak) or 4.2° to 35.4° (beam
angle, half-peak). It offers electronic dimming and strobe and features a
bracket for floor or truss mounting.
The ELP PAR can be controlled using any DMX-compliant controller.
The fixture is supplied with a folding mounting bracket.
Before using the product for the first time
1. Read
on page 4 before installing, operating or
servicing the fixture.
2. Unpack and ensure that there is no transportation damage before using
the fixture. Never attempt to operate a damaged fixture.
3. Check that the voltage and frequency of the local power source match
the mains power requirements of the fixture.
4. Either hard-wire the fixture to an AC mains power source or provide a
power input cable and local power plug as described in this manual and
connect to an AC mains power outlet.
5. Check the support pages on the Martin Professional website at
www.martin.com for the most recent user documentation and technical
information about the fixture. Martin user manual revisions are identified
by the revision letter at the bottom of the inside cover.
When the fixture is powered on for the first time, it may smoke slightly as it
warms up, but this will only last a few minutes and is no cause for concern.
Be prepared for the fixture to suddenly emit bright light when power is
applied.
