Final notes on HAPP 40 -----READ ME FIRST-----
Column positioning
Always install with a mock setup where you stand columns and place top beam in
position before drilling holes for anchor bolts.
Never use measurements from drawings or calculations to pre drill holes. The only
true indication of anchor bolt location is one obtained from the mock setup.
Safety latch release cable attachment
The cable attachment to the safety latch should only be tightened enough to be firm
and lift the latch. Over tightening will break the bolt head from the thread.
Safety release spring
Some installers advise they have increased the tension of the safety latch spring by
half a turn to ensure that latches pull down firm and engage better. Only consider this
if you find the latch does not pull down firmly when released.
Hose connection to pump assembly
The pump supplied will likely have the outlet on the opposite side to that required for
HAPP 40 giving the impression the hose is too short. This is resolved by swapping
the hose outlet with the fitting on the opposite side as shown in pump assembly
section.
Electrical wiring
Follow electrical wiring notes in this manual
Oil grade
The hoist will need 10 litres of ISO grade 46 oil
Limit switch wiring
The limit switch does not come with a connector but the pump has one, we have
supplied a connector to allow you to create a quick connector for the pump assembly
if required. Alternatively you can remove the connector and directly connect the limit
switch wires to the pump. Further details on limit switch wiring is provided in the
electrical system section of this document.
Connector provided. (extras available from HAPP)
