CAUTION
Risk of burns!
■
Always switch off a cooking zone
using the corresponding slider sen-
sor; never by removing the cookware
from the cooking zone. Otherwise,
the cooking zone will be reactivated
as soon as a pot or other object made
of ferromagnetic metal is placed on
top.
■
Do not place objects on cooking zones
that are not switched off. There is a
risk that the cooking zone could be
activated and the object heated.
Automatic protection settings
The hob has a range of protection settings
that warn of danger and protect the appliance
from damage.
Residual heat display
During cooking, the heat from the pot is trans-
ferred to the glass ceramic and the cooking
zone becomes hot. If you switch off the cook-
ing zone or the entire hob, the residual heat
symbol ‘
H
’ will alternately flash with the ‘
0
’
symbol on the heat setting display of a cook-
ing zone that is still hot.
If the temperature of the cooking zone falls
below a specific value, the residual heat sym-
bol ‘
H
’ disappears.
Automatic reduction in performance
The temperature of the electronic elements
inside the hob are constantly monitored. If the
heat increases too much, the hob is automat-
ically switched off.
