Cleaning
Pyrolytic self-cleaning
NOTICE
Risk of damage!
Accessories left in the oven’s cook-
ing compartment during pyrolytic
self-cleaning may be permanently
damaged.
■
Remove the dripping pan, baking tray,
grilling rack and baking tray guides
from the cooking compartment.
■
Clean the accessories as you would
usually.
WARNING
Burn hazard
The oven reaches higher temperatures
than usual during pyrolytic self-clean-
ing. The outer surfaces can therefore
also be hotter than usual. Steam and
burning smells can develop during
cleaning.
■
Make sure to keep children away from
the oven.
■
Ventilate the installation site well.
Your oven can clean itself through pyrolytic
cleaning (pyrolysis). This programme is par-
ticularly suitable for heavy contamination,
such as burnt-on food residues containing
fruit acids and starch. The oven’s cooking
compartment becomes extremely hot, there-
by causing burnt-on food residues to burn
off. The oven’s door locks at a temperature
of 160°C and unlocks again as soon as tem-
peratures in the oven fall below 160°C.
1. Remove the baking tray from the oven
(see „Removing and cleaning baking tray
guides“ on page EN-17).
2. Remove large bits of food residues from
the cooking compartment.
3. Close the oven door.
4. Remove all cloths and items from the
oven.
5. Set the function selector (4) to the ‘P’ po-
sition.
The locking light (5) illuminates.
6. Press and hold the MENU button until the
display shows ‘
0
·
00
’ and the bell symbol
flashes.
7. Briefly press the MENU button again so
that the duration (
P2
·
00
hours) and the
‘
Pdur
’ display blink alternately in the dis-
play.
8. Use the arrow keys to set the duration of
pyrolysis based on the degree of contami-
nation (
2:00
,
2:30
or
3:00
hours).
Pyrolytic self-cleaning will begin after
approx. 2 minutes and the oven door will
lock. The red locking light (5) shows that it
is locked.
Notice: If you accidentally open the oven
door before starting pyrolysis, the process
will be interrupted and the locking light (5)
will flash. In this case, pyrolysis must be
restarted.
‘
P0Ш00
’ is displayed once pyrolysis is
done. If the oven’s temperature falls be-
low 160°C, the locking light (5) turns off
and you can open the oven door again.
9. Put the function selector back to ‘0’ after
the cleaning time has ended.
10. Open the oven door slightly so that the
oven can cool down.
11. Once the oven has cooled, wipe the
burned-off leftovers from the oven using
a damp, soft cloth or sponge.
12. Reinsert the baking tray guides (see
„Inserting the baking tray guides“ on
page EN-17).
The oven is then ready for use again.
Stopping pyrolysis
Pyrolysis is an automatic programme that
should not be interrupted.
Carry out the following steps if you need to
stop pyrolysis:
1. Set the function selector to the light sym-
bol ‘ ’.
