Step 1.
Carefully examine the aft end of the fuselage on the top
and sides. You will note the plastic has scribe marks and farings
for the vertical and horizontal stabilizer. The scribe marks are for
the control rod exits; the farings are to show where the vertical
and horizontal stabilizers will be mounted and provide a means
of support during the frame up process of the tail section
controls.
Use a sharp hobby knife to cut an opening in the horizontal
stabilizer faring. Use caution during this trimming process. A
sanding stick is useful to make the final shaping of the opening.
Trial fit the horizontal stabilizer in the opening.
Step 2.
Trim away the opening for the vertical stabilizer located
on the top rear of the fuselage. Again, use caution during this
process. Use a sanding stick to make the final adjustments to the
opening. Trial fit the vertical stabilizer in the opening.
Step 3.
Smooth any rough edges with a sanding stick or
sandpaper block.
