If you select the wrong menu, at the bottom of the display:
Select
EXIT/GO BACK
and press the
key to return to the previous screen
or
Press the Up
or Down
lift buttons to return to the main screen.
Emergency Stop
The lift unit also has an Emergency Shut-off feature so that in an emergency the operator can
completely cut the power to the lift.
To perform an Emergency Stop:
1.
Press the Emergency Stop Switch located on the back side of the AP-450 to OFF.
2.
The lift immediately stops, and all power to the lift shuts off
To lower the patient after an emergency stop,
press down on the Emergency
Down button located on the lift’s membrane.
3.
All lift functions are disabled
4.
The On indicator light and display turn off
Should the emergency stop function be used in an
emergency
, it must be inspected by an
authorized dealer. Once the lift has been inspected and/or repaired, the lift can be turned back
on. To turn the lift on after an Emergency Stop:
1.
Inspect the lift.
2.
Press the Emergency Stop Switch located on the back side of the AP-450 to ON.
The Emergency Stop Switch
must
be pushed back into
“ON” in order to restore power
to the lift.
Emergency Lowering
The Emergency Lowering System can be used to lower the lift should the Down button on the
hand control and lift membrane fail. When pressed, an audible alarm will sound until the
Emergency Down button is released. When pressed, the Emergency Down Button bipasses all
other control circuitry of the lift to immediately lower an individual safely. To perform Emergency
Lowering:
1.
Locate the Emergency Down button
on the lift’s membrane (Figure 7).
2.
Press and hold the Emergency Down button until the lift and individual are lowered to a safe
location.
Clean and Disinfect the Lift System
Clean the Lift
To clean and disinfect the exterior of the lift:
1.
Dampen a cloth with isopropyl alcohol.
2.
Wipe down the entire exterior of the lift including the hooks.
Use only isopropyl alcohol to clean and disinfect the exterior of the Lift system.
No other chemicals or liquids should be used to clean and disinfect this lift!
Ensure that no liquids get inside the lift unit. This lift unit is not watertight or
drip proof; Failure to protect the lift from liquids may result in damage to the lift
and result in personal injury.
Clean the Anti-Microbial Strap
The AP-450 is equipped with a strap featuring specialized antimicrobial coating at the fiber level.
The anti-microbial coating provides excellent hygiene and material protection, including:
Preventing microbial development
Providing excellent protection against Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA)
Preventing mold stains and algae infestation
Providing rot-proof performance
Disinfect the strap using an accelerated hydrogen peroxide disinfecting product.
Clean the Lift Accessories
Follow the cleaning and disinfecting instructions included with the accessory.
