tive anode is consumed less.

9.4. Descaling

Depending on the quality and quantity of the water used, scale deposition may occur

on the heater exchanger or the tank walls. The scale deposited on the heater decreas

es the heating efficiency. Therefore, it is necessary to descale the hot water tank every

two years.

It is forbidden to apply any sharp metal object or acid to remove scale deposited on

the heat exchanger, the closing cover and its fittings. Please, use commercially distrib

uted cleaning and descaling supplies.

Scale can be removed from the interior of the tank manually, through the service

opening. After the removal of scale, it is recommended to flush the tank using water

jet.

9.5. Prevention of frost damage

If the temperature in the room hosting the hot water tank may fall below the freezing

point, the heating of the tank must not be switched off during frost danger periods,

otherwise the tank must be emptied.

9.6. In case of indirect heating

OVERHEATING PROTECTION MUST BE ENSURED USING

THE INDIRECT HEATING EQUIPMENT!

9.7. Stoppages not caused by faults

3-minute protection

When the appliance is powered, you have to wait 3 minutes with an immediate re

start after a stoppage, in order to protect the compressor.

If the appliance launches a self-protection mechanism and shuts down,

please, check the following:

When the power indicator lights up, the appliance may not yet fulfil all of the sys

tem start-up conditions when being switched on. You should check the air outlet

and inlet for clogging to prevent strong draughts from reaching the air outlet.

Defreezing

The evaporator may freeze in a wet and cold environment, which can reduce the

water heating performance. In such cases, the appliance is set to stop water heat

ing, switches to defreezing and starts water heating only then.

During defreezing, the fan stops, the four-way valve turns the flow direction and

the compressor runs continuously.

Defreezing may last from 3 to 10 minutes, depending on the external environ
