9. MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTIONS

WARNING

Always observe and strictly comply with the general warnings and safety instruc

tions laid down under previous Clauses .

All maintenance operations and activities must be performed by qualified personnel

(i.e. the persons concerned must have the expertise as required by the effective regu

lations).

If the mains cable is damaged, it must be replaced in order to avoid any danger. Such

replacement must be performed by the manufacturer, its service support or a similarly

qualified professional.

WARNING

Before repair or maintenance, the appliance must be switched off and the external

switch must be turned into “OFF” position in all cases.

9.1. Emptying the appliance

You can empty the container by using the discharge valve (faucet) mounted in front of

the hot water tank or the combined safety valve (by turning the knob in the direction

indicated by the arrow).

Before emptying, close the closing valve of the water supply network and the cold

water tap of the faucets, while opening the hot water tap of one of the faucets, and

keeping it open during emptying process.

ATTENTION! HOT WATER MAY LEAVE THE

APPLIANCE DURING WATER DRAINAGE!

If you discover leakage from the interior of the container or any other sign of irregu

lar operation, promptly disconnect the appliance from the water supply network using

the closing valve.

9.2. The container and combined safety valve

To ensure safe operation it is recommended to regularly (every year) have the ap

pliance and the combined safety valve checked by a plumber for proper operation.

Additionally, it is also recommended to blow off the valve every two months by turning

the blow-off button of the safety valve in the direction indicated by the arrow. This way,

the valve seat will be cleaned of any possible deposit (scale, sand grains etc.).

9.3. Active anode

The inner surface of the enamelled steel tank is protected against corrosion by an ac

tive anode serving as a supplementary protection. The service life of the active anode
