02.01 Intended use
Part of the unimes H power distribution system
The powerway enclosures are part of the unimes H power distribution system.
The unimes H power distribution system is a type-tested switchgear and controlgear assembly for
switchgear and controlgear assemblies according to EN 61439-1/-2/-5.
Intended use of the powerway enclosures

Fixed indoor installation
The enclosure is intended for fixed indoor installation. It is permanently installed and operated in a
closed electrical operating compartment at the installation site.
Preventing operation by unauthorised persons
If the enclosure is not operated in a closed electrical operating site, switching operations and access
to the open switching enclosure by unauthorised personnel must be prevented. The enclosure must
then be lockable using a lock or tools must be required to open it.
Not to be operated by ordinary persons
The units are not intended to be operated or handled by ordinary persons.
Intended use also includes:
– Reading and observing the manual and unimes H system manual.
– Reading and observing this manual along with any instructions provided with the system compo-
nents (where available).
– Complying with the safety regulations.
02.02 Misuse
Misuse
Any use deviating from the intended use is considered misuse.
Hager does not assume any liability for damages resulting from misuse.
DANGER!
Danger due to electric shock or arc faults
Misuse can result in high voltages and high currents, which can lead to dangerous
situations. This may result in serious injuries and even death.

Only use the product in areas for which the product is designed.

Never operate the product outside the specifications provided in the Technical Data.

Observe the instructions for extension and the project planning rules.

Always observe the requirements for personnel qualifications.
