External convenience functions
The convenience functions
Call waiting, Transfer, Return, Accept other
call and Three-party conference
must be applied for from your service
provider. In the case of Deutsche Telekom AG, these services are provided
under the designation of T-Net functions, and can only be used at a main
connection, if you have set the Flash time to 300 ms. You can also use these
functions if you are operating your telephone on a modern PABX system. Set
the Flash time as specified in the operating instructions of the PABX system
– usually 100 (90) ms. Further details can also be taken from the operating
instructions of your PABX system. The following description of the
convenience functions does not therefore have to match the specifications of
your PABX system.
Call waiting and transfer
You have your telephone connected to a main connection
provided by Deutsche Telekom, and during a call, you hear the
‘Call waiting’ tone.
Press the R-button in order to put the current call on hold. You
now hear the special dial tone. You can now answer the
second call by pressing button 2. To return to the first call,
simply press the R-button again and then press button 2 again.
You will now be reconnected to the first caller, and the second
call will be on hold. You can repeat this procedure as often as
required to switch between the two calls.
If you are operating your telephone on a PABX system, then
proceed in the same way, although press the R-button again
instead of pressing button 2.
