Installation, dispatch

• To avoid condensation, allow the instrument to adjust to room

temperature for several hours before unpacking.

• The Applanation Tonometer should be verified for damage

after unpacking.

• Installation is to be carried out according to Appendix A and

functional verifications according to Appendix B.

• Check: do the connection pieces fit (tonometer on slit lamp,

measuring prism)?

• Defective equipment should always be returned in an ap-

propriate packaging.

Operation, surrounding

• Only qualified and trained personnel should operate the equip

ment, the training is at the owner’s responsibility.

• Use only Haag-Streit accessories.

• Avoid humidity.

Cleaning of housing

• Use a slightly moistened cloth.

• Soap can be employed.

• No liquids or corrosive agents.

• Avoid direct spraying on the equipment.

Warranty, product liability

• The instrument should be operated in accordance with the

chapter 'Safety'. Incorrect operation can damage the instru-

ment. Thus no warranty claims can be accepted.

• In particular, it is forbidden to loosen any screws; this may

reduce the accuracy of the measurement.

• Continued use of an instrument that has been damaged by

incorrect operation can lead to personal injury. The manufac-

turer cannot accept liability in this case.

• Repairs and alterations on this equipment should only be car-

ried out by Haag-Streit. Contact your Haag-Streit distributor.
