The initial installation of the device is conducted by an authorized service technician.

The following adjustments can be conducted by the end user:

• Regulating the clearance of the slit width controls

• Attaching/removing a camera

• Adjusting the weight compensation

4.1 Instrument base with weight compensation facility

The weight of additional accessories mounted on the microscope can be

compensated using counterbalance springs. This keeps the height adjustment of the

slit lamp easy.
