5: Exit from the Boot menu and restart the VG.

Step 2: Select <1> to reload the extended segment of Boot ROM,

or select <3> to boot from the Boot ROM backed up in the Flash

memory.

5.5 Upgrading the Application Program via
TFTP

The user can upgrade the application program through TFTP on

the VG. Please do the following:

I. Building up upgrade environments

Build up TFTP-approach upgrade environment

Step 1: Connect the LAN port to a PC via a network cable.

Step 2: Connect the console port of the VG to an external console

terminal (it can be the external PC connected to the Fast Ethernet

port), and configure the HyperTerminal with the reference of “Section

4.1.1 II. Setting parameters of the console terminal”.

Step 3: Install TFTP Server on the PC.
