The Mx value corresponds to the screw’s thread.
9.1.2. SUPPORT SHEET THICKNESS
Thickness in millimetres.
To increase or decrease the thickness of the sheet to which the part will be welded, press the D+ and D- keys.
The thickness ranges that can be selected are related to the type, size and material of the part to be welded.
If the sheet’s thickness is less than that shown on the display screen, the support sheet may become warped during
welding.
When the device displays
, the sheet’s thickness is high enough that the synergy’s welding settings will no longer
be affected.
If this icon does not appear, then the sheet’s maximum thickness has been reached. Beyond this thickness, there is
no guarantee that the consumable can be properly welded.
Note 1: When a rivet extraction rod synergy is selected, the thickness will change ( icon) and will correspond to the
rivet head’s diameter in millimetres.
Note 2: When switching from SYNERGY to MANUAL mode, all welding settings (currents, times and heights, etc.) as
-
sociated with the synergy are transferred to MANUAL mode. This makes it possible to fine-tune the machine’s welding
settings if the selected synergy does not provide the expected result (from either too weak or too powerful welding
settings).
9.2. WELDING IN MANUAL MODE
In MANUAL mode, the consumable’s times, currents, lift height and digital spring activation are to be entered by the
user.
MANUAL mode’s main screen will display:
1 - Arc time in milliseconds (see § 4)
2 - Arc current (see § 4)
3 - ‘Prog’ followed by a number is displayed when a welding configuration is stored (see §9.3.3).
4 - ‘Connect’ is displayed if the device is being operated autonomously via a PLC (see § 10)
5 - A message area indicating the device’s status (see § 9.3)
