3. POWER SUPPLY AND STARTING THE MACHINE
This equipment can be used on a three-phase, 400 or 480 V (50 - 60 Hz), four-wire electrical system with an earthed
neutral. It is delivered with a 32 A, EN60309-1 socket and, therefore, must be used on a 400 V network. Connecting
to a 480 V power supply network may require changing the plug and possibly changing the cable type, depending on
the applicable local regulations. In this case, these modifications must be carried out by a qualified technician and the
correct connection procedure must be followed.

The recommended tightening torque for the M6 nuts for the different phases as well as the protective conductor
connection is 9 N.m.
The effective absorbed current (I1eff) for the ideal operating conditions is indicated on the equipment. Check that the
power supply and its safeguards (the fuse and/or circuit breaker) are compatible with the required current.
• Switch on the machine by turning the ON/OFF switch to the ‘|’ position.
• The device will go into protection mode if the between-phase supply voltage is higher than
560 VAC (a
MAINS ERROR FAULT
message will be displayed on the screen). Normal
operation will resume as soon as the supply voltage returns to a value within its nominal
range.
3.1. CONNECTING TO A POWER SOURCE
This equipment can operate on single-phase power sources provided they meet the following requirements:
- The voltage must be alternating, set as specified and with a peak voltage of less than 400 V.
- The frequency must be between 50 - 60 Hz.
- The power must be at least 48 kVA.
Checking these conditions is crucial as many power sources produce high voltage spikes that can damage equipment.
