DENT PULLING INDUCTOR
EN
MANUAL MODE
In this mode, heating power can be changed by the user, and heating time is managed according to pressure on the
button (with a maximum limit of 2 seconds). Heating power can be set to the following values: 150, 180, 210, 240, 270,
300, 330, 360, 390 (Watts).
ADVICES
For large dents, we recommended starting
at the base and finishing in the centre. Start
heating around the dent (1), raising the sheet
metal slowly whilst moving toward the centre
to straighten up (2); This makes it easier
when the inductor is on the top of the dent
(3).

In certain cases the dent depth might increase whilst being heated (the sheet metal can go down as a result of the
heat). If this is the case, increase the heat on the perimeter of the dent and continue to heat until it starts to decrease.
For deep dents, heat in a circular motion around the dent, towards the centre.
It is recommended that you elevate the area you have been working on with the inductor. Raising the sheet metal where
the impact is, will stretch the metal in the opposite direction, which will avoid the dent appearing again after it has
cooled. The raised area will disappear after cooling. It might be necessary to tap the raised area to acheive a perfectly
flat surface.
After heating and correcting the dent, immediately cool the sheet metal with a cooling spray or a
wet sponge - it will freeze the new sheet metal form and stop it returning to its original state.
Do not keep repeating the process, too much heat will lead to paint burn. Heated sheet metal needs to cool down before
reheating. Each time the sheet metal is heated and cooled, the dent reduces.
Whilst working on panels with multiple dents, the user must not work on one area, working in different areas far from
each other, allows the sheet metal to cool and will avoid permanent twisting of the sheet metal (oil can effect).
Parts near the panel sides or corners are more difficult to straighten up, complementary PDR methods (Paint less Dent
Repair) may be necessary in some cases.
Parts with folds are more difficult to straighten up. The dent pulling inductor will reduce the dent but mastic will be
needed to get a perfectly flat surface.
