Installing and Configuring the RangeGuard System
22
Control Panel - Alarms Screen
The alarms screen defines the alarm conditions for the installed system. The top of the screen
contains the default limits which apply to all sensors. In addition, each sensor can be configured
with its own set of alarm limits, which take precedence over the default limits.
Two limits can be defined for each alarm. The value in the
Amber if
column defines a warning
condition and the value in the
Red if
column defines a severe condition.
When an alarm is active on a given sensor, its colour is shown as the background of the Range
field for that sensor in Table View or Single Sensor View. If both amber and red conditions are
met, the alarm is shown as red.
The
Disable all alarms
tick box acts as a master switch allowing all alarms to be turned off at
once.
Default Limits - Alarms
Values
The choice of alarms to be set is application dependant. Leaving any value blank
disables that individual condition for an alarm.
Range:
Use for proximity detection.
By setting Range conditions the RangeGuard system can be set up to focus on
the presence of nearby objects.
Example: If an object is detected at less than 15m raise an amber warning, if the
object detection is less than 3m raise a red warning. In this example the values
entered would be 15 and 3.
