Considerations for associated video equipment
Any video equipment installed as part of the RangeGuard system should be take into consideration the following:
1. The camera should be accessible enough to allow regular cleaning.
2. The camera should be mounted as close to the sensors as possible to match the reported range to the scene as closely as possible.
3. A camera per sensor is recommended.
4. Wide beam sensor viewing cameras require fish eye lenses to be able to view the same field of view as a wide beam RangeGuard sensor.
5. The video system time should be synchronised to the RangeGuard system for data synchronisation.
6.
The camera system is recommended to have an infra-red capability for use in low light conditions and darkness.
