Transportation and Storage

For a prolonged shutdown, the saw disc and the cradle spring
are recommended to be wiped with an oil-soaked cloth to
protect them from corrosion. Cover the saw with a tarpaulin if
it stands outdoors or at unprotected places. The motor and
the switch should be primarily protected against water.

Residual Hazards and Protective Action

1.  Electrical Residual Hazards:

Direct electrical contact:
Defective cable or plug may cause an
electrical shock Wounds cause by conductive
parts on open electrical or defective structural
parts.

Have the defective cable/plug exchanged by a
professional.  Use the unit only if connected via a
faulty current switch (FI).

Indirect electrical Contact:

Always unplug before any maintenance.
Operate only with FI switch installed.

2.  Mechanical Residual Hazards:

Cutting, incision:

A contact with the rotating saw disc may cause
severe injuries.

Risk of injury by rotating parts

Always be very careful with small pieces to be
worked.  Use aids (such as sliding tool or a guide
block/bar). Never touch the disc if it is still moving.
The worn or damaged aid should be replaced
immediately.

Catching, winding:
Loose garments or jewels may be caught by
moving parts.

 Always wear tight-fitting clothes

and do not wear jewels that could be caught.

3. Noise Hazards:

Impaired Hearing:
Prolonged work with the saw may result in
hearing impairment

Always wear ear protectors

4.  Materials and Other Substances Hazards:

Contact, aspiration:
Lungs may be affected by great amount of
dust being formed. Health-hazardous sawdust
emissions from operations without extracting
the dust.

Always wear breathing mask when working with
the unit. Install and use an exhaust equipment.

5.  Human Factors Neglect:

Negligent use of personal protection
equipment:
Operating the unit without adequate PPE may
cause severe external/internal injuries

Always wear prescribed protective clothing and work
considerately.

Inadequate local lighting:
Insufficient light is a heavy safety risk.

Provide for sufficient lighting

6. Other Hazards:

Thrown away articles and splashes:
The band or mechanical particles may wound
your eyes in the course of cutting job.

Always wear protection goggles.

Remove the cotter pin at the end of the cradle setting
rod

(Fig. 4)

, put up the rod and tip the cradle forward

(Fig. 5 )

.

3.

Lock the disc on the sawdust tank with a screw.

4.

Always wear safety gloves at these operations.

5.

Release the setting screw using a C-wrench with
caution. The cautiousness is essential as unexpected
lapse of the wrench may result in a severe injury of the
hand!

6.

Carefully remove the saw-blade in the upward direction
and put a new blade in the installation procedure is
reverse.

7.

When changing or carrying the saw-blade, always hold it
safely and firmly. The disc is heavy at it may be slipping
down. If it falls out of your hands, it may cause severe
injuries.  .

8.

After the disc replacement, set the cradle so that the disc
distance is 50 mm

(Fig. 6)

.

Caution: Remove the lock screw again!

Caution: Always wear safety gloves when replacing

the disc to avoid accidents.

Initial Operation Safety Instructions

Before putting the machine in operation, check to see
