The “%” in the I

C commands denotes to the evaluation board that a special command must be pre-

processed before passing on to the sensor. If the interface is set to I

C mode, and if the % is missing,

the evaluation board assumes the command is a UART command and sending it on to the sensor will
return a timeout.
