 Turkey Poult Feeder System

33

Shocker Wire Installation (Continued)

4. The winch has insulators at each end for shocker wire installation. After completing 

Step 1

 and 

Step 2 on Page 32

, attach a wire tension spring to the insulator on the winch as shown in 

Figure 4AQ

. 

Pull the shocker wire with enough force to stretch the spring 3/4"-1" (19.1 mm-25.4 mm). Secure the 
shocker wire with the supplied cable sleeve as shown. Double wrap the shocker wire around the 
other insulator and secure with the provided cable sleeve.

5. Repeat 

Step 1 on Page 32

 through 

Step 4 above

 until the shocker wire is connected from the boot 

to the control unit.

6. Use two (2) AZUMA nuts and bolts to connect a jumper wire between the shocker wires on both sides 

of the winch as shown in 

Figure 4AR

. Make certain that the jumper wire does not interfere with the 

winch operation. This wire is in close proximity to metal parts so an insulated, 12 gauge, single strand 
wire must be used.
