8. Attach feed level winch springs to the winches by hooking the spring onto the back side of the winch
as shown in Figure 4AK . In most instances, additional winches will be located next to an auger tube
union. Since the winch includes insulators on both ends, the insulators on the auger tube clamps may
be removed if desired.
9. Using the supplied cable clamp, loop the feed level winch cable around the end of the spring as
shown in Figure 4AL and begin threading the cable though the cable guide on each drop tube.

10. Set up the flood feeders by pulling the winch handle all the way back into position #1. At each feeder,
pull the feed level cables toward the winch and raise the feed level as far as it will go as shown
in
Figure 4AM .

WARNING
Be careful when operating the winch. Hold the handle firmly when making
adjustments. The feed level winch cable is under tension and will cause the winch
handle to snap forward when the adjustment bar is pressed down.
