Recording – controlled by external
devices (for example a
satellite receiver)
If an external device with a timer is connected to
the recorder at the 1 EXTERNAL/EURO-AV1 or
2 EXTERNAL/DEC.-AV2 (for example a satellite
receiver), this device can control recording on the
recorder.

Preparation
Insert a cassette with sufficient playing time and
pay attention to erase protection.

Preparing the EURO-AV socket for the
external device
Use the buttons on the remote control for this
function.
Press the

button followed by numbered

– The » A1/A 2 Record Prepared « table appears.
Switch to record prepare mode using the

button.
Select » Sat source « line using the

button and
activate the EURO-AV socket A1 or A 2 using the

E
button.
Store the setting using the

button.
– The recorder is in record prepare mode. The
timing for the recording is controlled by the
external device.

If this function has been selected, TIMER record-
ings and operation with a decoder is not possible.
To end the function, repeat the setting from step
and switch the record prepare function (see

) to “OFF”.
