BLADE DRIVE BELT
Removing the cover:
Check the blade drive belt ‘A’ every 300 working hours.
Undo the three retaining bolts to remove the blade drive
belt cover. If worn, split or cracked the belt must be re
placed.
Replacing and tensioning the belt:
Slacken the nut behind the belt tensioning roller ‘B’ and
slide the tensioning roller down the slot to loosen the belt
for removal. To retension the belt push the tensioning
roller up the slot firmly against the belt and retighten the
belt tensioning roller locking nut firmly. Replace the cover
tighten the retaining bolts.
GROUND DRIVE GEARBOX
Checking and topping up the oil level:
Check the ground drive gearbox oil level every 300 work
ing hours or if there is any sign of oil leakage under the
machine. On a level surface, tilt the machine forward to
rest on the front chassis nose. With an extension socket
wrench, remove oil plug ‘A’ and using a container with a
filler tube top up the gearbox oil level with EP 90 Gear
Oil until the oil is level with the lip of the gearbox filler
hole. replace the oil plug and tighten firmly.
JOCKEY WHEELS AND OPERATING LEVERS
Oiling the jockey wheels:
The jockey wheels should be oiled every 20 working
hours. Rotate the jockey wheels to bring the wheel hub oil
hole ‘A’ to the top. Using an oil can, pump two or three
strokes of oil into the wheel hub of both wheels.
OPERATING LEVERS
Oiling the stem plungers:
The three stemlock plungers ’A’ for the two jockey wheel
levers and the ground drive operating lever which is lo
cated behind the engine should be oiled every 20 working
hours or 3 weeks. Turn the levers up apply a little oil to the
top of the stem plunger lip and allow it to soak down the
stem.
TYRES
Check for wear and tyre pressure:
Check the tyre pressure every 20 Hours or 3 weeks and
maintain at 18 PSI, Over inflated tyres will effect traction.
Under inflated tyres will effect the handling and stability
of the machine. To check and top up the pressure remove
the valve cap ‘A’ , ensure that the cap is refitted securely
when completed. The maintain traction efficiency, replace
the tyres when any part of the block pattern turf tread is
less than one millimetre. If wheel weights are fitted they
must be removed to gain access to the tyre valve. The
wheel can be removed to repair or replace the tyre by un
doing the three stud mounting bolts ‘B’. Ensure they are
securely retightened.
