GROUND DRIVE
Ground wheel drive can be engaged or dis
engaged by pulling the stemlock plunger towards
the depth of cut lever knob ’C’ and moving the
lever forward to engage ground drive or
backwards to disengage. When the Ground Drive
Clutch Lever is in the rearward neutral position
the front wheels are free to turn for wheeling or
manoeuvring the machine. The ground drive is set
independently of the cutter drive.

OPERATORS HANDLES
The operators handles ’A’ can be folded for stor
age or carriage. To unfold slacken handle clamp
lever ’B’ and pivot the handles up and back. Set
the operators handles at a height which is com
fortable to operate the machine. Retighten the
clamp lever firmly.
DEPTH OF CUT
Set the transport lever ‘A’ forward to the cutting
position as shown to lower the machine into cut.
To adjust the depth of cut, alter the position of the
rear jockey wheels by pulling the stemlock
plunger towards the depth of cut lever knob ’B’
and moving the lever forward or backwards to
select the desired cutting depth from 1 to 6 cm on
the scale.
NOTE
Tilt the machine forward to clear the jockey
wheels from the ground when adjusting the
transport or cutting depth levers.
TRANSPORTATION AND CUTTING
The rear jockey wheels can be set for out of work
transportation or in work cutting by pulling the
stemlock plunger towards the transport lever
knob ’A’ and moving the lever backwards for
transportation or forwards for cutting as shown.
For transportation, the depth of cut lever ’B’
should be adjusted downwards to depth scale set
ting one to attain maximum blade ground clear
ance.
