g. The sizes of working tools and their mounting collars must match exactly the sizes
of the power tool’s spindle.
Working tools with improper sizes can cause excessive vibration
or loss of control over the tool.
h. Do not use damaged working tools or mounting elements.
Check the abrasive wheel if it
has any chip‑offs, fractures or dents before you start working with a tool. If any irregularities
are noticed, immediately replace the working element with a new, flawless one. Damaged
wheel can fracture even during the start‑up of the power tool.
i. If the power tool or the working tool fall, check whether it was not damaged or use other,
undamaged tool.
If the tool has been checked and mounted, the power tool should be switched
on with the highest speed. Pay attention so that the operator and other people in vicinity are be‑
yond the reach of the revolving tool. Damaged tools most commonly fracture in this trial period.
j. Do not use any working tools requiring water cooling.
It can lead to electric shock.
k. The tool should always be held by handles in both hands and the power cord should run
behind the tool.
There is a risk of dragging of loose clothes, power cord and other objects
within the reach of working tool.
l. Do not use for cutting very small elements.
They can be discarded while cutting.
m. Keep your hands away from the cutting area and do not place hands underneath the pro‑
cessed element.
Risk of injury and limb amputation.
n. Shavings and dust must be removed only after the tool has been switched off.
After
the work is finished, the wheels can remain hot. Wear protective gloves.
o. Do not carry operating power tool.
Loose clothes or power cord can be accidentally caught
by revolving working tool. Risk of electric shock or body injuries.
p. Under no circumstances should you put the power tool away before the working tool
stops completely.
Revolving tool can come into contact with the surface on which it was put
away, which can lead to the loss of control over the power tool.
q. Avoid unintentional start‑ups of the tool.
Before you plug the cord into the socket or while
carrying the tool, make sure you do not accidentally press on the switch.
r. While cleaning the saw, do not use aggressive nor caustic chemical agents including
petrol, solvents nor other petroleum‑derived agents.
s. Keep the tool away from heat sources.
Do not store it in damp nor wet places. If the water
gets into the power tool, the risk of electric shock rises.
While working you can find elements of: electric, hydraulic or gas systems which are located
in walls or floors. It can pose a serious threat to life or health.
Before you start working the area
should be examined with e.g. a metal detector and the tool should be held by isolated handles.
The particles of the processed materials released in work can contain: carcinogens, substances
causing allergic reactions, pulmonary diseases or fertility disorders.
It can include substances such as
paints containing lead, mineral dust from stones and concrete, wood protection, as well as parts of metal
and asbestos. The risk level depends on the time of user exposure to dust. In order to reduce the risk, make
sure the working space is properly ventilated and appropriate individual protection is worn!
Recoil and appropriate safety notice
Recoil is a sudden reaction of the power tool to jamming or obstruction of the revolving working tool
such as abrasive wheel, backing pad, wire brush etc. Jamming or obstruction leads to a sudden halt
of the revolving working tool. Uncontrolled power tool will jerk in the direction opposite of the direc‑
tion of working tool rotation. If, e.g. abrasive wheel jams or binds in the processed object, the edge
of the abrasive wheel submerged in the material can block and result in its falling out or recoil.
The movement of the abrasive wheel (in the direction towards the person operating it or from them)
depends in such case on the movement of abrasive wheel in the place of its blockage. Apart from that,
the abrasive wheels can also break. The recoil is a consequence of an improper or wrong use of a power
tool. It can be avoided by following the safety measures listed below.
