sheet metal rings.
5. Fix the mains cable with the ca-
ble clamps (15).
Reassembling the Wheels
In order to be able to work safely, the wheels
must be reassembled. The position required
for packaging is not suitable for working.
1. Pull the safety clip (18) and re-
move the retaining pin (19).
2 Take off the wheels (10). Rotate
them 180° and now attach the
wheels (10) onto the frame.
3. Fix the wheels (10) by inserting
the retaining pin (19) and apply-
ing the safety clip (18).
The wheels are now adequately
spaced to be able to work
safely.
Operation
Observe noise-abatement laws and
local by-laws.
Switching on and off
Note: Before switching the tool
on, make sure that the tool is not
touching any other objects and
hold it firmly in both hands.
1. Plug the tool into the extension
cable.
2.
For cable strain relief, form a loop
in the end of the extension cable
and hang it into the cable relief (6).
3. Connect the equipment to the
mains power supply.
4. To switch on, press the release
button (3) on the handle then the
starting lever (4). Release the
release button (3).
The cutting blades start to ro-
tate and dig into the ground.
5. To switch off, release the starting
lever (4).
Warning! The tines will continue
to turn for a few seconds after
the tool has been switched off.
Do not touch the rotating tines –
injury hazard!
Depth Adjustment
Adjust the desired working depth by
changing the position of the wheels. The
equipment has 7 positions for depth ad-
justment.
1. Pull the safety clip (18) and re-
move the retaining pin (19).
2. Set the desired depth adjust-
ment by repositioning the con-
necting piece (20).
3. Fix the wheels (10) by inserting
the retaining pin (19) and apply-
ing the safety clip (18).
Cutting Blade
The garden hoe can be operated with a
choice of four or six cutting blades. Op-
erating with four cutting blades means
greater force. Operating with six cutting
blades means a greater working width.
The two outer cutting blades can be de-
tached: see next page on Replacing the
Cutting Blades.
• Remove only the outer screws at this
point.
• The two outer cutting blades can be
removed.
