Adding Clients to the Grid
When you add Clients to the Grid, you are remotely installing the vController software on Client
computers that are on the same network as the Grid. Once Clients have been added to the Grid, you
can give them access to vStores and manage them.
For this remote installation, Clients must meet the following requirements.
•
Clients must be physically connected (aka “wired”) to the LAN.
•
.NET Framework 3.5 SP1 must be installed.
•
The domain Administrator account must have administrative access to Clients.
•
Administrative shares must be enabled, and the firewall must allow access to these shares.
•
Share/user level security requirements must be met. This means that either a Windows
domain or user logon equivalency must be active. You can, however, manually enter
credentials for each deployment.
1.

Client(s) to the Grid from the short-cut menu.
