GRIDSTORE ADMINISTRATOR’S GUIDE 33

The Set vStore quota and GridProtect level page of the Create vStore Wizard opens.

The vPool Overview area displays the following information about capacity:

•

Total vPool - total physical capacity available from all of the Gridstore Storage Nodes in

the vPool.

•

Total Allocated - total physical capacity that has already been allocated to other vStores

in this vPool.

•

Used - the amount of physical capacity in the vPool that is being used out of the total

capacity in the vPool.

•

Free - the amount of physical capacity that is available out of the total capacity in the

vPool.

In the vStore Quota area, enter the maximum amount of space you would like to allocate to

the vStore.

Note:

You can enter an amount larger than the available capacity. Doing so enables you to

easily add additional Gridstore Storage Nodes to the vStore in the future without having to

change this setting.

Tip:

If you are using alerts, the Grid will notify you when storage space reaches 50%, 75% and

90% of your set quota.

Click the OK button.

A message box opens, confirming the action.
