Fastening the roof box to the roof bars (for the Wollemi and Tongariro
models)
The Wollemi and Tongariro models are fitted with the "U" fastening system. The net gap between the
screws is 81 mm.
Pass the clamping bracket from below to enclose the roof bar. Fit the plastic block by passing the bracket
through the holes on the closest section of the box. From inside the box above, screw the plastic knobs
onto the bracket by hand, tightening them without distorting the bracket (on the Tongariro model the
inner plastic section slides).

Using the roof box
The load in the roof box must always be secured by fastening straps to avoid movement during the
journey. Take care, if the load is not properly secured, the roof box may come loose during the journey
and cause an accident. You have the fastening straps you need to secure the load. Before loading, slide
them into the slots of the plastic sliders at the front and back of the box (figure 11).
After loading the box, tighten the straps. Ensure that the height of the load respects the dimensions of
the roof box when closed. If the load is too high, the roof box may not close properly and its cover may
be damaged. When loading the roof box, make sure to distribute the weight correctly (figure 12). The
maximum authorised load of the roof box is 75 kg.
The total weight: weight of the roof bars + weight of the roof box + weight of its load, must not exceed
the maximum load of the roof of the car set by the manufacturer (indicated in the vehicle's manual). The
speed of the car when transporting a load must be adapted to the external conditions (state of the road,
traffic, weather conditions etc.). Be careful not to exceed 130 km/h (81 mph) with the roof box on the
car. Be extra vigilant, especially for areas of reduced height, such as the entrance to a garage for
example.
