IMPORTANT:
If your unit has a trencher valve and you
are not using the trencher, use the A and B
quick-release ports for all other attachments.
The
traction selection knob must be fully clockwise to
get full power to the attachment.
Auxiliary Cylinder Control
This lever controls a hydraulic cylinder
on optional attachments.
Move lever forward to retract the
cylinder.
Move lever rearward to extend the
cylinder.
FUEL TANK
Two “T” shaped fuel tanks are located on the unit,
above the drive wheels on each side. Each tank is fitted
with a filler cap, breather pipe, baffles, and a
connecting balance pipe. The balance pipe ensures
fuel usage is equal from each tank. A padlock may be
used on each fuel tank cap to prevent unauthorized
removal of the cap.
Adding Fuel
See engine manual for proper fuel.
Gasoline only.
Diesel fuel only.
Filling the Fuel Tank
For each tank:
1. The unit should be parked on a level surface with
the lift arms lowered, the engine off, and the key
removed.
2. Clean around the fuel tank cap before removing.
Refer to Engine Manual for correct type and grade
of fuel. Leave 1 to 2 inches (25 mm to 50 mm) of
air space below the bottom of the filler neck. Air
space in the tank will allow the fuel to expand.
Never fill the fuel tank completely full.
3. Replace the fuel tank cap securely. Wipe up any
fuel that may have spilled.
RADIATOR OVERFLOW TANK (DIESEL)
The radiator overflow tank maintains radiator
fluid level.
NOTE:
When engine is cold, tank should be
1-1/2" (3.8 cm) full from bottom of tank.
TO STOP IN AN EMERGENCY
Turn ignition switch to OFF.
BEFORE STARTING THE ENGINE
Each time before operating the unit:
(Refer to
Operation
,
Maintenance
and the Engine
Manual for detailed instructions.)
1. Check fuel level
.
2. Check engine oil level.
3. Check hydraulic fluid level.
4. Check for debris.
5. Check tire pressure.
6. Be sure the work area is clear of people.
7. Be sure all debris has been cleared and all utility
locations are known and clearly marked.

WARNING:
POTENTIAL HAZARD
Fuel is extremely flammable and highly
explosive. Personal injury and property
damage may result.
• Fill the fuel tank outdoors in an open area.
Do not fill when the engine is hot. Wipe up
any fuel spills.
• Never fill the fuel tank completely full.
Empty space in tank allows fuel to
expand.
• Never smoke when handling fuel. Stay
away from open flames. Fuel fumes can
be ignited by sparks.
• Store fuel in an approved container. Keep
out of reach of children.
