(8) Mount the EEPROM on the IC socket of the main board U30 to upgrade the ﬁrmware.

Carriage board

Mount the EEPROM here.

(9)  Turn on the printer power supply.
(10)  “Reset please check system” is displayed on the LCD.
(11)  Turn off the printer power supply.
(12)  Remove the EEPROM from the IC socket.
(13)  Reattach the main board cover.
(14)  Set the parameters returned to default condition that it was written down in step (1).
