Prior to first use
AttEntIon!
❐
An odour and smoke may be emitted when toasting for the first time. We therefore
recommend that you run through the toasting process three times on the highest setting
without bread in order to remove any leftover production residue. When doing so, maintain
a three-minute pause between each toasting process. In the process, ensure that the room
is well ventilated, e. g. with windows that have been opened wide!
❐
Before using the device for the first time, also be sure to observe the notes in the chapter
“Toasting”.
❐
Risk of suffocation! Keep the packaging material away from children and animals.
1. Unpack all parts and make sure that the product contents are complete (see chapter
“Product contents and device overview”) and that there are no transport damages. If you
identify damages to the components, do not use them (!), instead contact the customer
service department.
2. Pull any foils and stickers off of the device.
3. Clean the toaster with a damp, soft cloth. If necessary, use a small amount of mild detergent.
Dry it off with a soft cloth.
4. Check whether the operating lever can be pushed down smoothly.
5. Unwind the cord from the cord winder until you have the desired length.
6.
Place the toaster on a dry and heat-resistant, level surface with sufficient space to flammable
objects. Please ensure that the toaster is not accessible for children or animals.
7. Insert the plug in a properly installed, 230 V earthed socket with earthing contacts.
8. Run through the toasting process three times on the highest setting without bread to remove
any production residue. Keep pauses of three minutes in between toasting intervals.
Your toaster is now ready for operation.
