Minimum power position

To facilitate positioning small dishes on the burner grid, place
the attached support extension over the auxiliary burner..

Cookware

Selection of  the adequate dish size ensures optimized cooking
time and consumption of gas. Diameter of the dish is of utmost
importance.
The flame reaching over the edge of the

small diameter dish

may destroy the dish, while the consumption of gas is
increased.
Gas needs oxigen for burning. In case of

excessively large

dish diameter

the oxigen supply is insufficient, consequently

reducing the burning capacity.

The wire grid

 (certain models only)

The wire grid is used for dishes with small diameter. Place the
grid over the auxiliary burner crown.

Oven

Important warnings!

•

Never put aluminum foil to the bottom of the oven, and do
not place any crockery upon it, since the foil may impede the
circulation of air, and the oven enamel may be damaged by
the excessive heat.

•

Fruit juice, dripping from the baking pan, may produce stains
upon the enamel, which are very hard to remove.

•

Oven burner is thermally protected. In case the flame
accidentally goes off, the gas supply is automatically shut
off.

•

The oven temperature is regulated by a thermostat.
Regulation is active only with the oven door shut.

•

The oven bottom plate must be in place during operation.

•

Never leave food to cool down within the oven, since
this may cause condensation and rusting.

Modes of operation

Oven is controlled by the function mode selection knob. To
select the desired position Press the button towards the
appliance and turn it in either direction.

Conventional heating with gas burner

In this mode the oven is heated by the oven gas burner.
Baking and roasting is possible only at single level.

Heating with infrared gas burner

(certain models only).
Heat comes directly from the infrared burner located at the
oven ceiling. This mode actually provides grilling of food.

During the operation of infrared burner the oven is not
controlled by the thermostat – the burner constantly
operates at full power!

Heating with infrared electric heater

Heat comes from the electric infrared heater located at the
oven ceiling.
This mode is specially suitable for grilling minor roasts, like
roast beef, sausages, various steaks, pork chops, etc.
Electric infrared heater may be applied also for broaching of
chicken (certain models only).
Press the oven function mode towards the control panel and
turn it to the right, to the position of grill/broach symbol, and the
infrared grill/broach heater is switched on (certain models
only).
Grilling temperature is 240°C. Once this
temperature is reached the heater is switched off
and when the oven temperature drops under
240°C the heater is turned on again. Heater operation is
signaled by the red indicator light.

Oven burner ignition and operation

•

·Press the oven burner button towards the control panel and

turn it to the

position. At the same time press the

ignition device button, or strike a match to the oven burner
ignition opening and ignite the gas.

•

After ignition keep the button pressed for further 5-10
seconds to stabilize the flame, then release the button and
set it to the desired heating power between 8 and 1.

•

If the oven burner fails to ignite after 15 seconds, shut the
burner off, open the oven door and wait for at least 1 minute
before the next ignition attempt.

•

Oven temperature is regulated by the thermostat.
Immediately after ignition it operates at maximum power until
the preset temperature is reached. Then the thermostat
reduces the burner power to the value required for
maintaining the preset temperature. This regulation works
only when the oven door is shut.

•

If for any reason whatsoever the oven burner flame goes
out, shut the burner off immediately and wait for at least 1
minute with the oven door opened before attempting to
repeat the ignition procedure.
