Status Bar
Displays current operating mode. Icons provide information about instrument status.

Icon
Description
Battery
The current battery level.
Datalogging
A manual or automatic datalog is being undertaken.
Geiger - audible & visual alarms off
The audible and visual alarms are switched off when using the Geiger feature.
Geiger - audible alarm on
The audible alarm is present when using the Geiger feature.
Geiger - visual alarm on
Visual alarms are present when using the Geiger feature.
Geiger - audible & visual alarm on
The audible and visual alarms are present when using the Geiger feature.
GPS
The location of the instrument has been found.
If fl ashing the instrument is acquiring a GPS location.
Pump
The pump is operating at high speed.
Gas Ranges
The GS700 can detect the following:
• Infrared measurement of fl ammable gases (ppm, LEL & volume) - e.g. Methane, Butane
• ppm fl ammable gas via sensor or external semiconductor probe
• Oxygen
• Toxic gases - e.g. Carbon Monoxide, Hydrogen Sulphide
• Differentiation between Pipeline Gas (natural gas) and Non Pipeline Gas (e.g. Landfi ll or
swamp gas)
