Field Calibration (Optional)

This feature allows simple calibration to be used in the fi eld, without the use of the automatic and
manual calibration set-ups previously highlighted in this User Guide.

The following kit is required to perform fi eld calibration:

•  Calibration test gases

• Demand fl ow regulator

• Sample tubing

To perform fi eld calibration, follow this process:

1.

During instrument warm-up the information display
will have fi eld calibration (FC) fl ashing in the bottom
left hand corner (if enabled).

Press

B4

 to select fi eld calibration.

2.  After instrument warm-up, if prompted, enter the

fi eld calibration code. The default code is

4343

 (

B4

B3

B4

B3

).

i

The 4 digit fi eld calibration code can be selected
during instrument procurement.

3.  Apply clean air to the instrument, then zero, by

pressing

B1

.

4.

Make sure the gas range selected is compatible with
the calibration gas.

The range can be changed by pressing

B2

.

5.

Remove the cap from the calibration gas cylinder.
Connect the ‘Demand Flow Regulator’ to the gas
cylinder (push down gently and tighten clockwise,
hand tight).
