• Unlock Updates the lock status of associated memory to unlocked.
• Lock Updates the lock status of associated memory to locked.
• Permanent Unlock Updates the lock status of associated memory to unlocked and the unlocked
status cannot be changed permanently.
• Permanent Lock Updates the lock status of associated memory to locked and the locked status
cannot be changed permanently.
If the Access Password value is zero, then you are still able to access the memory data even the memory is
locked.
If the Access Password value is non-zero, then it requires the Access Password to access the locked
memory data.
Use Write Reserved Memory form to edit the Access Password value.
You can use Lock Tag function to:

Lock the Kill Password and Access Password , thereby preventing or allowing subsequent reads or
writes of those passwords.
• Lock the EPC , TID and User memory banks, thereby preventing or allowing subsequent writes to those
banks.
• Make the lock status for the passwords, EPC memory, TID memory, and User memory permanent. This
means once the tag executes the Permanent Lock or Permanent Unlock , then the lock status cannot
be changed.
For the Gen2 tag, the lock status cannot be read, so the lock action list will always set to (None) when
opening this form.
Kill Tag
The Kill Tag is used to disable a tag which will be permanently silenced.
If the Kill Password value is zero, then the tag cannot be killed.
Before executing the Kill Tag operation, it will pop up a question dialog box for you to confirm to execute
the kill operation.
Click OK to execute the Kill Tag, or click Cancel to abort.
