Holding AUR720 for Reading RFID Tag

 

When you hold 

AUR720

 to read RFID tag, please note that your fingers shouldn’t cover the back 

antenna 

area

. Fingers cover 

antenna area

 will block the communication between RFID reader and tag.

 

Below illustrate two holdings for reading tag. The left holding photo shows the 

antenna area

 is clear 

without any finger covered. This holding is good for reading performance. The right holding photo shows 

the fingers cover the 

antenna area

 which make the reader cannot read the tag well.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The scan time period for reading RFID tag is pre-set to 10 seconds. You can change the scan time by using 

AUR720B Utility

 (

Scan Time setting

).

 

While scanning the tag, you can hold and adjust the reader position between the tag until succeed to read 

out or write to the tag data.

 

The recommend reading distance is about 10 cm (4 inches). The reading distance may change according to 

the tag design and the surface material where the tag places. Material contains metal or water will 

influence the reading performance.
