Q: Does AUR720 has waterproof feature?
A : No, it doesn’t have the waterproof feature.
Q: If the tag put in cargo box, can I use the AUR720 reader to read the tag EPC data from outside of the
box?
A : Yes, but it has limitation. First, the cargo cannot contain metal material, and the RFID-tag cannot put
near the metal. So it is better that the goods inside the cargo not to have metal material. Besides, the
water may interfere the read distance. Under non-interfere environment, the read distance can be up to
10 cm.
Q: How do I know the remain battery power for the AUR720? How long can it last for use?
A : You can view the battery level icon in the top-right corner of screen. Or scroll the main menu to Device
Information to view the battery level. The battery can last about 10 hours with RF scanning per 10
seconds, about 3600 scans). The number will reduce after the longer years use.
Q: Do I need a computer for using the AUR720?
A : It depends on your need. If you don’t need to download the log data to computer and only want to
operate the copy and paste functions, then you can only use AUR720 without using computer.
Q: Can I use AUR720 to read NFC tag?
A : No, AUR720 cannot read NFC tag. The NFC uses 13.56 MHz frequency, different from the UHF channel
that AUR720 uses.
Q: Can the Copy & Paste function write the barcode data to tag user memory?
A : Yes, it can write the barcode to user memory. Please refer to Copy and Paste (Barcode to User Memory)

Q: Does the AUR720B Utility has database function?
A: No, it doesn’t. AUR720B Utility use single file to store the log data. The file uses text format.
Q: Why there is not any log data stored in AUR720?
A: This could be that you the Save Barcode/EPC setting is turn off. Turn on this setting to let AUR720 save
read data.
Q: How do I know the AUR720 battery is low and need to be charged?
A: When the battery status icon keep flashing (battery drops to 5%), you only have about one hour using
time. At this moment, you should immediately charge the battery. It will takes about 3~4 hours to full
charge the battery.
