1. Cut the packaging straps (A) with scissors and remove them.
2. Do NOT open the upper cardboard box (B) , but carefully lift it as a whole and
vertically from the 601 and the pallet (C) . You will need two people for this (one
person each on the short sides of the box) (D).
3. Dispose of the cardboard box properly.
4. You can now lift the 601 off the pallet (it is imperative that you follow the
instructions in chapter 6.2 TRANSPORT).
6. Assembly and transport
6.1 Assembly
In case of delivery by Gharieni Group GmbH, the delivery driver will help to set
up the 601 and will perform the assembly of the parts disassembled for shipment
and positioning of the corresponding parts to make the 601 ready for use.
If the 601 is delivered by a shipping company, you must assemble these parts yourself
(s. chapter 5.2
UNPACKING
).
The armrests are swiveled 180° and pushed completely towards the seat.
Loosen the knurled screw on the underside of the armrests, pull the armrests out
slightly and now swivel the armrests upwards.
Be sure to tighten the knurled screw again.
Before raising the legrest completely, please adjust the height of the 601 first to
avoid a collision of the legrest with the pallet.
Now slide the extendable footrests into the corresponding mountings in the legrest
of the 601; the footrests are in the box under the head end, on the pallet.
If you have ordered the optional metal sheet as a privacy screen for treatments in
the prone position, this is in the same box.
The corresponding rail must be attached to the underside of the headrest using the
screws provided. If you do not need the sheet, you can stow it using a second rail
on the legrest.
