in time by others, with similar interchangeable and operating
safety features.
Reassemble the blade (2) with the code and markings facing
the ground, following the steps indicated in the illustration.
Tighten the central screw (1) using a torque wrench set to 16-
20 Nm.
Do not spray water onto and avoid wetting the motor
and electrical components.
Do not use aggressive liquids to clean the chassis.
On power-driven models, the proper belt tension is
obtained by adjusting the nut (1) to get the indicated meas-
urement (6 mm).
Environmental protection should be a priority of considerable
importance when using the machine, for the benefit of both so-
cial coexistence and the environment in which we live.
– Try not to cause any disturbance to the surrounding area.
– Scrupulously comply with local regulations for the disposal
of waste materials after mowing.
– Scrupulously comply with local regulations for the disposal
of packaging, deteriorated parts or any elements with a
strong environmental impact; this waste must not be dis-
posed of as normal waste, it must be separated and taken
to specified waste disposal centres where the material will
be recycled.
– When decommissioning, do not pollute the environment
with the machine, hand it over to a disposal centre, in ac-
cordance with the local regulations in force.
WARNING:
For your safety, it is strictly prohibited to fit any
other accessory other than those included in the following list,
as they have been exclusively designed for the model and
type of machine you are using.
Mulching kit (unless provided as equipment)
It finely chops the grass cuttings and leaves them on the
lawn, instead of collecting them in the grass-catcher.

6. ACCESSORIES
The following indications generally apply:
– cutting too low tears and uproots the grass, giving it a “spot-
ted” appearance;
– in the summer, cutting must be higher to prevent the ground
from drying;
– do not cut wet grass; this could reduce blade efficiency due
to sticky grass and tear the lawn.
– for particularly high grass, initially mow at the maximum
height allowed by the machine then mow again after two or
three days.
The appearance of the lawn will improve if you alternate cut-
ting in both directions at the same height.
Release the lever (1) when work has been completed.
Disconnect the extension cable FIRST from the general
socket (2) THEN from the side of the lawnmower switch (3).
WAIT UNTIL THE BLADE STOPS before making an adjust-
ments to the lawnmower.
IMPORTANT -
If the motor stops because it is overheated
while mowing, you must wait about 5 minutes before restart-
ing it.
IMPORTANT - Routine and accurate maintenance is es-
sential in maintaining original machine safety and per-
formance levels.
Store the lawnmower in a dry place.
1) Wear sturdy work gloves before cleaning, maintaining or
adjusting the machine.
2) Accurately wash the machine with water after cutting, re-
move grass debris and mud accumulated in the chassis to
prevent it from drying and causing problems the next time
the lawnmower is used.
On models with side discharge, remove the discharge
deflector (if installed -
3.1.d).
3) Always make sure the air intakes are free of debris.
4) Paint on internal chassis parts may come off over time due
to the abrasive action of cut grass; if this happens,
promptly touch-up paint with rust-proof paint to prevent
rusting that could corrode the metal.
Each adjustment made to the blade is best if done at
a specialised Centre that has the most appropriate tools.
Only blades with the following code must be used on this ma-
chine:
81004341/3 (for model 430)
81004346/3 (for model 480)
Blades must always be marked « » or «GGP». Given prod-
uct evolution, the above mentioned blades may be replaced
